It’s only 13 pounds different on the scale, but my body feels completely different.

3 days postpartum I was swollen, exhausted, healing, and just trying to keep me and him alive 🤪
3 years postpartum I feel strong, present, confident, and connected back to myself in a way I didn’t think was possible.

This is your reminder: the scale does not tell the whole story.

In the last few years, I’ve gained muscle, lowered body fat, healed my hormones, rebuilt trust with my body, and created habits I can actually live by. It was slow. It was not perfect. But the progress is real.

My clothes fit differently.
My core is stronger.
My energy is stable.
I feel good again.
And I still have goals ahead of me.

What worked was not a quick bounce back:
💪 lifting 3 to 4 times a week and pushing close to failure in @lsfmove
🍗 prioritizing 140 to 150g protein daily (I use @lsfnutrition protein 1 to 2 times a day to make that easier)
👟 10,000 steps most days
🤍 choosing consistency over intensity
⏳ giving myself time (like a lot of time!)

If you’re in your postpartum journey (whether 3 weeks or 3 years), your progress will not look like a straight line. But you are not behind. You didn’t miss your chance. Your comeback is allowed to be slow and steady.
