Here’s why I’m not buying into these (anymore):
🤍Pilates over strength training
Love a reformer sesh, but nothing has reshaped my body or boosted my metabolism like lifting weights consistently. “Pilates body” isn’t a thing.
🍳 Skipping breakfast
I tried that for years. Now I start my day with 20–30g of protein and it completely changed my energy, hunger, and cravings.
🥖Cutting carbs to lose weight
Carbs aren’t the problem — it’s how you pair them. When I started fueling around my workouts with carbs, I leaned out faster.
👟 Only doing low intensity to “protect” hormones. Yes, cortisol matters, but your hormones also thrive with strength, sweat, and recovery. It’s about balance, not avoiding intensity.
🤓 Intuitive eating without education
If I ate based only on intuition at the beginning of my journey, I’d still be stuck. You need some structure and understanding first.
📏 Scale dropping = progress
The scale went up when I built muscle and looked the leanest I ever have. Of course it depends on your goals and getting to a healthy weight, but the scale isn’t the whole story ever.
If you’re feeling stuck, confused, or like your efforts aren’t paying off take a step back. The flashy stuff might be trending, but consistency, education, and strategy will change your life.
